The White-Coated Carbon Fiber Quartz Infrared Heat Lamp: Power, Design, and Why It Works
We built this white-coated carbon fiber quartz infrared heat lamp to be a direct-fit powerhouse inside infrared tube heaters. It was born for industrial spots where you need serious, focused heat—fast—without wrestling in a giant heater.
Power, Voltage, and Size: The Specs That Make It Feel Right
This is shortwave infrared, so it punches hard in a small footprint. We set it up for 2500W at 400V, packed into a 300mm tube. That combo gives you a lot of heat per inch, so the targeted zone gets hot quickly. The 400V choice is practical: it keeps the current lower for the same wattage, which means your wiring and connections stay manageable inside the heater housing. And that 300mm length? It gives you predictable heat spread, so you can control the zone cleanly. You get a sharp thermal profile—fast ramp-up, fast cutoff. That’s great for responsiveness, but it also means your machine’s cooling and thermal management need to be ready for it. Match the airflow and heat sinking to the job, and it behaves like a precision tool.
What It’s Made Of—And Why It Matters
The quartz envelope is built for high temperatures and stable electrical performance. Inside, the carbon fiber filament keeps resistance consistent and handles repeated heating and cooling without getting fragile. And that white coating? Not just for looks. It acts like a reflector, pushing more infrared energy forward where you need it and cutting down wasted output from the backside. For connections, we use R7s and Sk15. These are industrial-grade contacts, chosen because they grip securely, line up the same way every time, and make replacement quick when you’re out in the field. Wire it once, and the lamp seats cleanly—no fuss, no wiggle.
Where It Shines: Real Industrial Heat, Done Right
Use this lamp when you need rapid, targeted heating in tight spaces—plastic pre-heating, coating curing, adhesive activation, and other processes that run on infrared tube heaters. Shortwave output, the reflective coating, and the compact size give you precise control without redesigning your machine footprint. And the carbon fiber element holds up to repeated on/off cycles better than the delicate wire filaments you sometimes see. Here’s the trade-off: that high power density is what gives you speed, but it needs proper airflow and heat sinking. If the enclosure is too small, the ambient temperature will climb. Plan your thermal budget upfront, and this lamp performs exactly the way you want it to—hot where you need it, calm where you don’t.
