
Let’s talk about our 230V 1800W Quartz Carbon Heating Tubes
If you need heat—and you need it now—these tubes are your best bet. We built them specifically for those jobs where waiting for a heater to warm up just isn’t an option. By pairing a carbon filament with high-purity quartz, we’ve made something that hits its operating temperature way faster than those old-school metal alloy elements. The Power Stuff At 230V and 1800W, these fit right into most industrial setups. The real magic is how the heat is concentrated. It uses short-wave infrared radiation to throw heat directly at your material. Basically, you get a ton of power in a very small space. This is great because you can shrink your heater’s footprint without losing any punch. We can even tweak the length to fit your specific chassis. Just a heads-up, though: if we cram 1800W into a shorter tube, the surface gets incredibly hot. Make sure your housing can handle that kind of intensity. Why Carbon and Quartz? Here is the thing about carbon filaments: they put out a much wider infrared spectrum than nichrome wires. Then we wrap that in clear quartz glass, which lets the heat slide right through without getting trapped inside the tube. More energy hits your workpiece. Less energy is wasted. We’ve built these to handle the stress of heating and cooling, but they have one weakness:fingerprints. Please, don’t touch the glass with oily hands. Those little oils create hotspots that can actually crack the quartz when things get hot. Getting Them to Work These are pretty much “plug and play” for PET blowing or industrial drying lines. We’ll even wire them to your specific connectors so you aren’t fighting with the installation. But there is a trade-off. Because they’re so intense, that filament takes a beating over time. To keep them from burning out too early, I really recommend using a PID controller. It stops the heater from cycling too aggressively. A bit of precise voltage regulation goes a long way in making these last.
