A few things to watch out for Here’s the catch: you have to be careful with your voltage. If you try to force more heat by over-volting the filament, you’ll burn through that carbon core pretty quickly. I’d suggest tweaking your PID controllers so you don’t get those aggressive power spikes. Most of the time, these are easy drop-in replacements for old heaters. Just double-check that the U-bend dimensions match your reflectors. If they’re off even a little, you’re basically throwing 20% of your heat away into the machine frame. Keep those reflectors polished. It’s a small chore, but it keeps everything running lean and mean.
