If you need a lot of heat, and you need it now, these are the elements you’re looking for. We built these for high-output infrared jobs where waiting for a slow warm-up just isn’t an option. At 1000W and nearly 30 inches long, they cover a massive area without leaving any cold spots behind. The Power Side of Things Because of that 29.5-inch length, the heat spreads out evenly. You won’t have to worry about those annoying “hot zones” that warp your materials or scorch your product. It just works. But a quick heads-up: don’t cheap out on your wiring. If your cables are too thin, you’ll get a voltage drop and your output will tank. Just double-check your gauge before you plug everything in. Trust me, it’s worth the extra minute. Why Carbon? Inside that high-purity quartz tube, we’ve got carbon fiber filaments. These are a different beast than your old-school metal coils. Instead of just hitting the surface, the infrared heat actually sinks deeper into whatever you’re heating. Now, here is the most important part:do not touch the quartz with your bare hands. I know it sounds picky, but the oils from your skin leave invisible marks. When the element heats up, those spots create tension, and pop—your tube cracks. Use gloves. Always. Making Them Work for You These are usually a perfect fit for PET blowing machines or industrial drying tunnels. Since they’re so long, you can cover more ground with fewer lamps, which keeps your setup cleaner. Just keep in mind that a 30-inch glass tube is inherently fragile. If your machine vibrates, these tubes can snap if they’re rattling against the frame. Make sure your mounting clips are snug, but don’t over-tighten them. You want them secure, not crushed. Get the alignment right, and these things will last you a long time.
