If you’re dealing with industrial drying or curing, you know the struggle of waiting for your equipment to actually get up to temp. We built these 500mm carbon fiber tubes to fix that. Instead of sticking with those old-school metal coils, we use a carbon fiber filament inside a quartz envelope. The result? Way less lag. It just hits the heat faster. The Power and the Fit We’ve dialed these in at 700W over a half-meter length. Why? Because it keeps the heat spread out evenly. You won’t deal with those annoying hotspots that ruin a workpiece. Plus, carbon fiber is a lot more stable than nichrome. It doesn’t bow or warp when it gets hot and cools down over and over. You get a steady 700W draw that stays consistent, even as the filament gets older. It’s reliable. The Science Bit (Simplified) Here is the cool part: carbon fiber puts out medium-to-long wave infrared. In plain English, that means the heat actually sinks deeper into your materials rather than just scorching the surface. We use high-transmissivity quartz glass so the energy goes straight to your project, not into the walls of the tube. But a quick heads-up: be careful with the end-caps. That’s where things usually go wrong. If you pull too hard on the wiring or use the wrong connectors, you’ll crack the seal. Just be gentle with them. Making it Work in Your Shop For most of you, these will slide right into your existing mid-range heaters. You’ll notice a big difference in warm-up time compared to ceramic heaters. It’s a huge time-saver. But there is a catch. Quartz is fragile. If your machine shakes a lot or you crank the mounting brackets too tight, the tube will snap. Give it a little breathing room. The glass needs space to expand as it heats up, otherwise, the frame will just crush it. Keep it loose, and it’ll last.
